Happy Father's Day at the barre! Sign up for class and bring a bro for free! We love educating men about the benefits of Barre and invite all male-identifying people to join this class for free.
For all levels, Barre targets stabilizing muscles that are often overlooked in a traditional power and strength training session. It improves flexibility, helps prevent injuries, and teaches you mind-body awareness. Plus it's MUCH harder than you think--many athletes report improvements in their conditioning and performance. Ready to feel the burn? Don't be intimidated, barre's not "just for girls." This class will be held virtually and in studio. Your choice. We will email you to confirm your preference. A link to this virtual class will be emailed (to the whole class) upon registration and @30 minutes before class. Equipment: Yoga Mat, Sturdy Chair, Hand weights (or water bottles/canned goods), bare feet or grippy socks. To Bring to Studio: Bare feet or grippy socks (Available for purchase in studio). Water. Teacher Bio: Bob stumbled onto barre by accident having won a gift certificate at a silent auction. Bob embraced the challenges and found himself saying to everyone, “I have a sore muscles I didn’t even know I had. Bob’s passion for barre led him to pursue certification in both American Barre and Barre Intensity. Bob feels a deep sense of gratitude to the Straightline community for having this opportunity to teach.

Indian Dance Class: South Asian and Bollywood

Everyone loved our first Indian Dance class, and we are excited to offer another workshop with Vani, who teaches South Asian/Bollywood and aims in each class to have fun, express ourselves through Dance. Learning Indian Dance is a great way to exercise your body and your mind. Join the class with your water bottle and go with the flow.
The workshop will be a hourlong session where you will learn accesssible choreo of an Indian song. We will have a brief introduction and a fun Warm up session and then we will move to the choreo. You don't have to know how to dance to participate! $20 ticket (autopay members save $5, email for promo code) This workshop will be held virtually and in studio. We will email you to confirm your preference. From the Instructor- Vani: I love dancing and I have been dancing for a while now! The only workout I know is dance & yoga. I don't have any other routine and I don't hit the Gym. I have learnt hip hop and a lot of Indian dance styles for 4-5 years and I love doing choreography. I'm super excited to be a part of Straightline Dance Fitness and have a fun class with you all! |
